Charlotte Birth Photographer: Baby Flora

Please see our new site at www.loradentonphotography.com

Oh, little Flora kept us all guessing until the last minute! Mom went to 42 weeks without barely a hint of labor. There was real concern that a hospital induction would be on the table that very day, but instead contractions started and the couple headed to the vicinity of the Birth Center to be nearby in case things were really happening. Well, Miss Flora decided to make her exit so fast that they barely made it to the birth center on time, the midwives there for prenatal appointments caught the baby, and when I got the call I was waiting on, it wasn't the one I was expecting! There was a baby crying in the background! As sad as I am to have missed the birth itself, I am so grateful that Mom was able to have the birth center, unmedicated birth that she desired. I'm also grateful that they were so close to the birth center, or else there'd be a lot of upholstory cleaning going on in their car! I was lucky enough to be asked to come and get some postpartum shots of this sweet angel. This is one gorgeous gal and she is as lovely as her name. Congrats G Family!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Up until now, I have been using Windows Movie Maker for all of my slideshows, but it seriously reduces photo quality and so, as a photographer, I don't want to use that to showcase my work. I'm on the hunt to find software that will accomodate my needs, but in the meantime, I found a website that at least holds image quality. The downside is, the slideshow is pretty small and the transitions are just not working for me. Anyway, hopefully I'll find something that will work soon. If anyone has any suggestions, please put them in the comments section! If you click in the bottom right hand corner of the show, you are able to view the slideshow full-screen!
