Charlotte Birth Photography: Homebirth of baby Lucy

This gorgeous little one was well worth the wait! Mom was closing in on 42 estimated weeks when this little sweetie finally decided to come. She had called me early in the afternoon to tell me she thought the real thing was starting (after weeks of sporatic contractions and several failed castor oil attempts) and then a few hours later, to tell me to hurry on my way. I arrived at 4 pm and the baby was born at 5:50 PM! Baby Lucy was born in her parent's bathtub, with her 2 big sisters (4 years and 2.5 years) there to welcome her. Both girls even hopped in the tub for a few minutes to meet their new sister. This birth was super fast and super calm and it was such a privlege to capture on film.
